Firstly, we aren’t cheap. We are copywriters and charge accordingly. We don‘t try to compete with the cheapest online translation bureaus. But editing and correction are included in price. If we do something, we like to do it right.
And we are not more expensive than so-called expert translations – what qualifies anyone as an expert translator in a particular field is not always clear. Plus we write creatively, not literally, delivering a text pitched at the target audience rather than merely repeating content.
If you need internal documents translating or are just sending an e-mail to a client who knows you well, a regular online translation should be fine. There’s nothing wrong with saving money. Sometimes.
If you are trying to win over new customers then you need to make a good impression. There’s no point in spending good money on print, advertising space or web design, and then pasting in sub-standard text. Ever.
But if a text is going to be printed or feature prominently on a website, call Textunion. Always.
